Welcome to the Shannon River adventure web site. Located beside scenic Bofin Lake close to the villages of Roosky and Dromod, our adventure park offers a range of outdoor activities suitable for adults and children alike. We offer a wide range of land and water based activities for all ages.
Kayaking
Probably one of our most popular activities, Kayaking is a sport for all ages and abilities. Have a fun taster session on one of our sit-on-top Kayaks or take things a little more seriously with one of our cockpit Kayaks. We use venues such as the tranquil waters of Lough Bofin and Lough Boderg.
Canoeing
Or open boating as it’s also known is a little more relaxed than Kayaking with usually 2/3 to a boat. The Open / Canadian canoe is immediately distinguishable from a kayak because it is paddled using a single bladed paddle. On a relaxing open boat trip you will get to visit some of the many islands surrounding the beautiful waters of the river Shannon and Kilglass Lakes.
Archery
Test your target skills with one of the oldest sports in the world. We use traditional long bows and straw targets set on tripods. Our archery shed is sheltered from the elements so you can build your skills in a safe comfortable enviroment.
Pier Jumping
An all-time favourite and always great fun for adults and kids alike. A great way to get started with our adventure activities, get wet and get ready!
Other activities include orienteering, raft building and team games. Our water-based activities begin in the comfort and safety of our private marina, and progress on to Lough Bofin and further.
We also include adventure camps on a weekly basis - we're flexible on time frames so contact us and we'll do our best to suit your needs. Summer camps for children are run in the months of July and August.
All of our instructors are fully qualified, and all of our activities are fully insured.
