Everything went according to plan. A terrible downpour on friday as we began but it only lasted 10 minutes. The evening cleared up really well.
We actually had fantastic weather on Saturday. Sun cream required. We had a ball in Banagher on Friday night and Athlone on saturday night.

A great week on the river. Panicked a little when our boat reached the lower end of the what we had been told was the fuel limit, after we found that one of the few fuel depots, at Quigley's Marina doesn't serve on a Sunday. In fact when we took in back to Silverline the tank was more than half full. I guess they have to be pessimistic but it would have been better to have had a more realistic es...

All in all an excellent holiday
We had an excellent time really enjoyed the holiday. So much so I’m back for another week fishing !! The boat booking was very good. We were really pleased with everything. The lock keepers with the exception of the one up at Loughnan Key are wonderful people.
