Yes, we had a nice short break on the Shannon although weather wasnt great but thats always the risk in Ireland. we were quite impressed by some of the restaurants we came across, better than I remember from my early days of Shannon cruising! The base was very accommodating but left a few returning renters anxious and puzzled when nobody turned up to check them out on bank holiday monday.

The staff in Portumna could not have been nicer.
We had a great time thank you. We filled out the comment sheet for E Star. The only complaint we had that the toilets were very hard to flush other than that every thing was supper. The staff in Portumna could not have been nicer. The lockkeeper as we all know in Athlone is not a pleasant man ! ?. Photos to follow.

We had another absolutely amazing holiday . That was our 6th visit and we enjoy it more each year.
We found going that bit earlier this year was a huge bonus with weather. We caught some lovely pike In Roosky and had lovely meals In Leitrim and Dromod !
