yes, we had a great time on the river, mostly Lough Derg. We didn't get the weather Met Eireann promised, but as one wag said, that only happens when they promise rain!

Our Norwegian friends enjoyed the few days
All went very well with our trip on the Shannon and our Norwegian friends enjoyed the few days. Boat was ready by 2pm on Friday which meant we could make Boyle Harbour that day. The second night we stayed in Battlebridge and the last night in Carrick.

Delightful villages to visit along the Shannon with great pubs, restaurants and facilities, all very friendly and good value.
I have been recommending the trip to all my golfing buddies, so you might have a few more visitors from Co Down next year.
